It's been a breathless evening's Gaelic football: Mayo saw off Derry in absurdly dramatic circumstance in Castlebar, while there were wins also for Donegal (over Longford) and Clare (over Laois), the former less comfortable than the latter.
The result went as expected in Navan, too: Meath saw off Sligo, with the final score reading 0-14 to 1-09. The game was scheduled to throw in at 6pm, but it was delayed by ten minutes owing to traffic congestion around Pairc Tailteann.
With proceedings stalling to allow the last of the fans drift in, the supporters already in the ground were treated to the, er, unique choice of music on the Páirc Tailteann PA. Today FM's Gavan Reilly was among those at the game, and tweeted that it featured some utterly mad tunes that are not usually the preserve of the Gael.
Don't know what to make of the fact that the Páirc Tailteann playlist includes the theme tune to Ally McBeal... followed by Sex And The City

...then the TV-length version of the Friends theme (not the full Rembrandts song). And then The A-Team, cruelly interrupted after 5 seconds
