Mayo are set to take on Derry this weekend as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship reaches the preliminary quarter-final stage. Here's everything you need to know about Mayo v Derry.
For Mayo, they will be hoping to continue their unbeaten run the Sam Maguire so far after just missing out on qualifying for the quarter-finals. The Westerners started off their Sam Maguire campaign with a 0-20 to 1-08 win at home to Cavan, before getting a tight 2-14 to 1-15 win away to their Connacht rivals Roscommon in round two.
This set up a situation for Kevin McStay's side in which they needed to win against Dublin in order to win Group 2 and qualify for the quarter-finals. In the game, a Ciarán Kilkenny catch in injury time off a Stephen Cluxton kick-out helped Dublin break and get a point from Cormac Costello which prevented Mayo getting win leading to a 0-17 to 0-17 draw. With that, Dublin advanced in top spot on points difference.
