Mayo fans are losing their shit as it has emerged that Dave Grohl has pledged his support to the green and red, the Foo Fighter's front-man has been snapped posing with a Mayo For Sam sign and an excited Ballyhaunis local ahead of the GAA Championship.
Just in case you were wondering Dave Grohl was definitely NOT on holiday in Ballyhaunis, that would have been a little too strange. Grohl met Aideen Murray - who tweeted the picture - in the bar she has been working in since September in Washington DC.
Dave Grohl was probably a handy enough player in his day, before the drink took over. Missed training sessions and an aversion to local barbers led to an early exodus. We're glad to see he's getting back into the bit of football later in life.
It's started!! Dave Grohl was lucky enough to get his picture taken with Mayo native Aideen Murray #kcshow pic.twitter.com/0kuz3Da2Wj
