Many Christmas Day swims were cancelled across the country owing to heavy rain - an irony lost on approximately zero percent of the population - but inclement weather did not put a kibosh on the South Kerry Senior Football Championship Final in Portmagee today. Maurice Fitzgerald, Bryan Sheehan and St Mary's won the title - beating Waterville by nine points to six - but the most important result (for the rest of us) were a series of fantastic photographs, courtesy of Sportsfile.
If ever there was need for proof as to why the GAA don't schedule too many matches for Stephen's Day, this is it.
