Antrim failed to secure promotion to Division Three of the National League at the weekend. That was despite holding up their part of the bargain in defeating Limerick.
Laois' win against the already promoted Carlow ensured that they were the ones who took a step up the league ladder.
Antrim won the game in Newcastlewest by four points - 1-13 to 0-12. The only goal of the game was worth the entrance fee.

Though the RTÉ cameras were not present at the match, there is still footage of Matthew Fitzpatrick's goal thanks to Antrim GAA.
Straight from the throw-in of the second half, Antrim won the ball and started a flowing team move which ended with Fitzpatrick firing Donal O'Sullivan in the Limerick goal.
In rugby parlance, Fitzpatrick runs a great line to receive the final pass and create the space to shoot.
