Marty Morrissey was overwhelmed by the reaction to his introduction to the All Ireland hurling final last weekend before Tipperary defeated Brian Cody's Kilkenny at Croke Park.
It was an absolutely sensational account of how big the event is, and RTÉ Radio 1 were flooded with tweets thanking Marty for his moving words.
Wherever you are in the world - this will make the hairs stand on the back of your neck. Many thanks to @ballsdotie https://t.co/7oQyG6FLRQ

On the Late Late Show on Friday night, Marty came out to a huge roar before sitting down for a chat with Ryan Tubridy, and there was only one place to start.
The man himself explained that he drew on his own experiences of tuning into the hurling final from New York as a youngster, and it was absolutely lovely.

He's some man.
The best radio moment we've heard for quite some time, he deserved every bit of praise he received.
