Louth are set to host neighbouring rivals Meath in their opening game of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship round-robins. Here's everything you need to know about Louth v Meath.
For the Wee County, they will be looking to get back to winning ways in what has been an exciting campaign for them so far. Ger Brennan's side started their Leinster championship with a comfortable 4-10 to 0-15 win against Wexford in Portlaoise. Louth then faced Kildare in the semi-final at Croke Park where Louth punished a wasteful Lilywhite performance, winning with a final score of 0-17 to 0-13.
In the final, Ger Brennan gave his native county Dublin a major scare as the Wee County led at half-time 0-07 to 0-06. The lead would not last as a Con O'Callaghan goal helped spur the Dubs to their 14th Leinster crown on the bounce, but Louth would battle until the final whistle with an added time Craig Lennon goal making it a final score of 1-19 to 2-12.
Louth continued to plug away in the Leinster SFC final and Craig Lennon grabbed their second goal to leave them just four adrift of Dublin at the final whistle

For the Royals, they will be looking to bounce back following an unfortunate draw in the Leinster championship. After a decent 3-19 to 3-12 win away to Longford in the preliminary round, Colm O'Rourke's side faced a trip to Croke Park to Dublin in the quarter-final.
Despite a promising early start from Meath, a Sean Bugler goal in the 19th minute would swing all the momentum Dublin's way as they ran out 3-19 to 0-12 winners.
This will be the second time the two rivals will meet this year. In their Division Two league encounter in February, a Meath second-half comeback got them the 1-11 to 1-09 win in Navan.
