Louth are set to take on Cork this weekend as the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship reaches the preliminary quarter-final stage. Here's everything you need to know about Louth v Cork.
For Louth, they will be looking to bounce back as their championship campaign has lost momentum over the past few weeks. Ger Brennan's side started off their Sam Maguire campaign with an emphatic 3-10 0-09 win at home to their bitter rivals Meath before squandering a late five-point lead away to Monaghan to draw 2-10 to 2-10 in round two.
The Wee County then faced Kerry in round three where, despite a strong start, Louth ultimately were no match for the Kingdom, falling to a 2-21 to 1-10 defeat in Portlaoise. Despite the result, still finished second in group 4 as Monaghan finished with a lower points difference.
In Cork's case, they will be looking to bounce back after taking their only loss of the round-robin stage last time out. The Rebels started their All-Ireland campaign with a close 1-13 to 1-11 win away to Munster rivals Clare in round one before causing the upset of the round-robins by giving Ulster champions Donegal their only defeat of the year so far with a 3-09 to 0-16 win at Páirc Uí Rinn.
John Cleary's men needed only a draw to qualify for the quarter-finals as group winners but a Ben Cullen goal helped give Tyrone a 1-18 to 0-17 win over the Rebels in round three. Due to the Donegal v Clare result and points difference, Cork finished in third in group 3.
