'One of the best days ever in hurling.'
To say the KCLR in Co Carlow got a little excited when Mt Leinster Rangers beat Ballyboden St Endas on Sunday would probably be the biggest understatement since news leaked in 2008 that Irish banks might be in a bit of trouble.
I'm not sure of the commentators' names but I think it might be Brendan Hennessy and Terence Kelly. It was all going along quietly until MLR scored a goal, causing the two lads to lose the proverbial arse:
(I have no idea why there are sheep in the video)
Fast forward to the aftermath of the final whistle and it makes their goal reaction seem quite subdued. It's the two lads again but this time they're also joined by Michael Walsh and local councillor Willie Quinn – tremendous stuff.
Also note that Terence keeps referring to Ballyboden St Enda's as 'Dublin.'
God knows what they'll be like if MLR win the final.
