Whoever runs the Leinster Express sport Twitter account deserves some extra tea and Jaffa Cakes on their break today for their live tweeting of last night's Laois GAA convention.
It made the most mundane of events feel like a real rollercoaster of emotions.
We're set to start in about ten mins or so, but the tea outside has a lot of lads sidetracked. Few of them going to miss kick off I reckon

Hall starting to fill up now, like Hill 16 when Utd are playing in the early kick off on Sundays, a lot of them coming in late #coybib

Style is always impressive here, good to see Shaws are still doing well out of the GAA community #lovelyjumpers #checkshirts

The top table all in suits of course. Slightly disappointed, was hoping one of them would be wearing the new Laois jersey #showyoursupport

We've opened with a reminder of where the emergency exits are. It's like being on an airplane, but without the air hostesses
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
Secretary's report dealt with in less than two minutes. We're flying through this. Another airplane reference for ye there #yourwelcome

Interesting to note in the accounts that Laois get a Hardship Grant from the Leinster Council. Can anyone apply? Do nights like this count?
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
Laois use the Hardship Grant money to fund scholarships to the Gaelteacht. Peig would be proud #anmhaith

Financial report over, Martin Byrne gets a round of applause, and praise for making it 'understandable for everyone' #thatsthehardestpart
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
We're onto the elections, which means we're onto the speeches. Buzz word time #idliketothank
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
The news ye have all been waiting for... Tom Jones, Martin Byrne and Kieran Leavy are the Laois reps to Congress. That was worth waiting for
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
Yet more praise for Martin Byrne. He'll get a big head after all this. Someone will have to slate him before we go, just to keep it balanced

Midway through a vote on a motion, one delegate asks 'What are we talking about or what are you saying?'. Tonight might just go on forever
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
Thanks for following tonight, just 364 more sleeps to the next one. Congress advent calendars will be on sale next year #bringiton
— LeinsterExpressSport (@Express_Sport) December 9, 2013
I just hope that at some stage they discussed this guy.
