In a couple of weeks there may be no Tipperary hurlers left. For the second time in his career, Lar Corbett has announced his retirement from inter-county hurling.
In past few days, Shane McGrath, James Woodlock and Conor O'Mahony have all left the inter-county scene. And today, it's Lar.
Corbett retires having won six provincial titles and two All-Ireland titles. Unquestionably, his finest hour was the 2010 All-Ireland championship in which he scored a hat-trick in the final and won hurler of the year.
