A bust up between players, management and spectators after a Laois Senior Football Championship match has done the rounds on social media.

Arles-Killeen were taking on Killeshin in Portlaoise's O'Moore Park on Saturday evening. Killeshin came away 1-17 to 0-15 winners after extra time.

The two parishes have GAA pitches just over seven kilometres away from each other, so the meeting of the sides brought plenty of local rivalry to the table.

But after the game had finished, ugly scenes emerged from a video showing a fight, that looked to have started on the pitch, eventually end up in the stands.

The video shows a supporter get involved in the ruckus from behind the crowd barrier before getting dragged into the bust up on the pitch.

According to the match report by Laois Today, this was what ensued at the end of the game:

On the final whistle, a mass brawl broke out with supporters and players getting involved. A disappointing end to a poor game, Killeshin now remain in contention as Arles-Killeen edge towards relegation.

There'll likely be sanctions for both clubs including players and supporters. No word has surfaced yet from Laois County Board.
