Kilkenny and Wexford met in the Leinster Minor Football Championship, and to term the game as one-sided would be an absurd understatement. Here is the score:
Leinster Minor Football Championship result: Wexford 17-20 Kilkenny 0-00. (Not a typo).

Holy hell. That's a 71 point defeat for Kilkenny. The ultimate in 'neither side learned anything from that' occasions. This will open up a debate as to what is the point of the whole enterprise, as Kilkenny probably should not be competing at this level at all. What a hideous experience for the young men of Kilkenny. We can't imagine that anyone connected with Wexford took too much pleasure or enjoyment from the game either.
I played schools football against Kilkenny teams and they were superb. But Wexford 17-20 Kilkenny 0-0. County should be embarrassed.

Why should any young person be put through what Kilkenny minors were put through today... its simply a disgrace.

Re last RT: Kilkenny may just stick to the hurling.

Kilkenny scored a point apparently... still an absolute joke though. Game should've just been stopped at HT. https://t.co/MpU3YMXOnO

Half-time in the football and kids are out on the pitch. Playing hurling...

Such was the anomalous nature of the score, the scoreboard at Nowlan Park was unable to display the four digits of the Wexford score.
The worst part is yet to come: Kilkenny's plight is not over, they now enter the backdoor:
That poor KK keeper will have to go to cryotherapy after kicking out so many balls... Ridiculous to think KK still have to play again .

While it is necessary for Kilkenny to play games to become more competitive at football, but this standard has come too quickly.
What's the point?
