Conor McDonald was the undoubted hero as Wexford's grip on the Leinster u21 Hurling Championship tightened once more last night. The 4-17 to 1-09 drubbing of Kilkenny ensured the Leinster crown was heading Slaneyside for the third year in a row.
Wexford's continually impressive production line would suggest that a resurgence at senior level is not too far away and although, the Cats are the undoubted kings of Leinster at the moment, Wexford fans have every reason to be hopeful after last night's display.
Fans up and down the country were quick to commend Wexford's display, with Paul McGrath himself just one of a number to take to twitter and send their congratulations Wexford's way.
And while the the vast majority of messages were overwhelmingly positive, there was one that differed somewhat, or at the very least appeared to.
As we all know, sometimes things can get lost in translation online so it's quite possible that tweet was not intended to be as smug as it sounds. For example, other tweets were rather more congratulatory in tone.

However, there's certainly been a bit of a backlash against the Cat's official account.
