Kieran McGeeney's near six year reign as Kildare manager is over following a meeting of the Kildare County Board tonight. The Armagh man was voted out on a tight margin of 29-28.

Kildare exited this year's Championship after a round four qualifier loss to Tyrone. Earlier in the Championship they had lost to Dublin in the Leinster semi-final by sixteen points.
