"We came over for a victory and we come away with that," Kevin Walsh told RTÉ Sport after his side's 0-16 to 1-9 win over London this evening.
That being said, the game threw up more questions that would have been desired from a Galway perspective ahead of heading to Sligo for the next round of the Connacht championship.

As discussed on the Three Man Weave, the Balls.ie GAA podcast, the bookmakers expected a rout, but credit to the Londoners they gave Kevin Walsh's men quite the fright in Ruislip.
The Galway manager, nevertheless, wasn't too downbeat after his side's narrow win and praised London's approach to the championship opener. Speaking to RTÉ Sport, he said:

It's not too long ago since very good teams came out here and either drew or lost - that's the way it is. It's a hard place to come.
Certainly our finishing wasn't as good as you'd want it. A lot of turnovers when we totally dominated the kick-outs - we had something like 70 or 80 per cent which is high. If you don't make that pay you either didn't score or you gave the ball away.
They got a goal and obviously it put a bit of oxygen in the lungs of the London guys who, in fairness to them, were well set up. Their movement inside was really good as well, to be fair. It caused us some problems.
Galway will now travel to Markievicz Park in two weeks' time where another Connacht side, Sligo, await. They, too, will be keen to bring their game after a disappointing league campaign.
