If you noticed there was something a bit off about Match of the Day 2 last night then you can lay the blame firmly at the feet of the Dublin and Mayo players.
The action in Croke Park yesterday had the country enthralled and one of Irish football's favourite son's was doing his bit to spread the gospel. Kevin Kilbane was getting stuck into Sunday's Premier League action in the Match of the Day 2 office but Dublin vs Mayo was getting in the way. And it wasn't only Kilbane who had an eye on the action.
Currently @kdkilbane77 is trying to explain the rules of Gaelic football to Ruud Gullit in #motd2 office. Never thought I'd see that.

As Kilbane himself explained, it certainly wasn't a bad game for the Dutch legend to sink his teeth into.

No reports yet as to whether he'll be able to make it to the replay. And yes, as soon as Gullit was mentioned in relation to something Irish, that classic Father Ted line was of course given a mention.
