Kerry traipsed through to the All-Ireland semi-finals this afternoon - as is their wont - with a facile eleven point win over Clare at Croke Park. While the result was never in doubt thanks to the sheer audacious talent of Pauls Murphy and Geaney along with Darran O'Sullivan and Hamez O'Donoghue, Clare had plenty sightings of goal, and but for the dual Banner habits of a reluctance to shoot and the clanging of the uprights on the occasions they did, Kerry may have been seriously troubled.
A lax defence blighted Kerry in the Munster final also: they conceded 2-10 to Tipperary in a game they looked comfortable in.
Perhaps this issue will solve itself when Kerry are forced to maintain their concentration against either Dublin or Donegal in four weeks time, but Joe Brolly believes that the Kingdom should be wary:

This defence, along with the fact that they've not been truly tested since the League final, caused some concern among commentators, pundits and supporters:
That was a really hard watch. Not Clare's fault, but Kerry go into the semi final now without having learned much about their team.
