For the third consecutive year, Kerry won the All-Ireland minor title.

In a poor game, badly affected by the conditions, Kerry beat Galway by seven points. Three Kerry goals - the pick of them from David Clifford - were the difference between the two sides.

It is the second time ever Kerry have won three Minor Championships in a row - the last time was the 1930s. Kerry are also the first county to win three consecutive Championships twice.
