Mayo will look to maintain their perfect start to their Allianz Football League campaign as they take on Kerry in Austin Stack Park, Tralee on Saturday evening. Here's all you need to know about Kerry v Mayo.

Mayo sit atop the table of Division 1 as they go into round 3 after an impressive week one win against Galway and a late Fergal Boland winner against Dublin 2 weeks ago. Kerry had a shaky opening round losing in Tralee to Mickey Harte's Derry side but put in a far improved performance away to Monaghan in round 2.

Kerry and Mayo have gone with inexperienced sides for the first couple rounds of the competition but should be notching up a few gears as the weeks go by, as both sides will want to be in the mix come the business end of the season. After a rest week last weekend, the teams should be refreshed and Kerry will no doubt want to get a first home win in the league this season.

Team News

The big news ahead of this game is that David Clifford returns to the starting XV for Kerry. The back-to-back Footballer of the Year was left out for the week one tie with Derry, before coming in off the bench against Monaghan.

Micheál Burns is missing, after his departure from the Kerry panel was announced earlier this week.

Diarmuid O'Connor returns in the Mayo midfield for his first start of the 2024 Allianz League, with Stephen Coen, Donnacha McHugh and Michael Plunkett all also coming into the side for Paddy Durcan, Sam Callinan, and Rory Brickenden.
