Kerry GAA is still riding on the crest of its 37th All-Ireland football title. So what could boost spirits in the Kingdom even further?
How about one of the stars of their 2009 All-Ireland Championship win returning home from Aussie Rules?
Tommy Walsh has announced that he will be leaving the Sydney Swans and returning to Ireland.
It was obviously something I wanted to do since I came out here, and I always knew I’d be going back and after five years here I knew that the time was right.
I’ll be going back to my club Kerins O’Rahilly’s and I don’t know, but maybe Kerry as well.
Walsh joined St. Kilda in 2010 and moved to Sydney in 2011, where he has played five senior games in three seasons.
So to a forward line that has just won an All-Ireland, it looks like Kerry will be adding a fit again Colm Cooper and Tommy Walsh.
That's a decent way to start a title defence.
