Salthill is being battered with by the insolent and stiff wind which usually decides to blow during the Connacht championship, and various minds have been swept away in its midst.
It's Mayo and Galway in the Connacht semi-final, with last year's beaten All-Ireland finalists seeking revenge against the county who last year inflicted their first Connacht defeat since 2010.
Mayo's task has become much more difficult owing to a moment of madness from Keith Higgins. The veteran defender earned a straight red card for striking Damien Comer in the stomach, doing so directly in front of referee Joe McQuillan.
Dirty foul by Keith Higgins, deserved red card! No place in the game for that kind of stuff

Keith Higgins you absolute idiot. Never let the ref see you hit another player

Watch the incident below, from 34 seconds.
Cillian O'Connor earned plenty of criticism and scorn too. In the eyes of many viewers, he went down far too easily on the incident toward the end of the clip below, which ended in a black card for Tom Flynn.
Cillian O'Connor just launched himself at Flynn and Flynn gets a black card aaaannd the ref saw it all 😡🙄 #GALvMAYO
