Jonny Glynn hit the back of the net less than a minute into the game.
The half-forward ran at the Cork defence, lobbed the ball over Mark Ellis, took control of the sliotar against a struck past Anthony Nash.
A great goal for neutrals and Galway fans but Cork will really have to question that defending.
