John Mullane's much sought-after move to the world of punditry has already reaped plenty of dividends; he recently declared a significant portion of Waterford fans as "like those guys on Arsenal Fan TV," and his Indo column is frequently entertaining.

Not so whimsical is what Mullane has promised he'll do should Waterford end their 57-year All-Ireland drought this September.

Speaking in RTÉ's 'ask the experts'-style hurling Championship preview, Mullane announced that he'll bear all should the Déise bring Liam McCarthy home this year.

He's not planning a tell-all autobiography about the Justin McCarthy days, however. His plan is far more revealing than that, and it sparked arguably the greatest RTÉ headline of all time.

Speaking to RTÉ, Mullane predicted that Galway will reign supreme in the hurling this year, but vowed to strip stark bollocko, mount a horse and ride down the quays of Waterford city should his own county win their first All-Ireland since 1959.

Mullane said:

I'm going to go for Galway. I think it's written in the stars. I think they'll beat Dublin, they'll be in a Leinster final. I think they'll win Leinster; it's going to be Galway's year. What I will say is, if Waterford win the All-Ireland I'll jump on a horse in the nude and go down the Quay!

Jesus Christ have mercy on our souls. Waterford just became the team to beat in the Championship this season.
