Roscommon manager John Evans made an eventful appearance on Newstalk's Off the Ball on Tuesday.
He invented the word 'dinosaural' (we presume he meant prehistoric) and on more than one occasion got a little bit irritable with the questioning from Joe Molloy and Colm Parkinson. It did appear to be a good natured irritability though.
Parkinson asked Evans about his comments regarding Roscommon as being possible All-Ireland contenders in the near future. The Off the Ball presenter felt this this did not mesh with the general reputation of Kerry GAA characters for being 'cute' with their words.
Evans thought he was being 'wound up'.
Are ye trying to wind me up or something?
Listen, I'm going into training here shortly now and if you haven't got something sensible or move onto the Fermanagh game, we'll move on.
Again, when Parkinson asked if Evans saw himself as being an Alex Ferguson-style orchestrator rather than a hands-on on coach, the Kerryman got somewhat contrary.
Jaysus, ye're at it again. Ye're trying to wind me up again.
Listen, I'm 32 years training - will ye stop? I've got a good, solid squad in there. Joe Sweeney is the goalkeeping coach. I've Liam Kearns. Come on, don't make a joke out of it.
