For the first time in almost two decades, Tyrone will be playing under a new manager this year. After Mickey Harte's departure, Feargal Logan and Brian Dooher have stepped into the breach at the county.
One of their main tasks will be revolutionising the team's playing style. Tyrone have used a very defensive system in recent years, one that has not really allowed them to compete for All-Irelands despite a recent final appearance.
Speaking on Eir Sport ahead of their game against Armagh this evening, Joe Brolly said that Tyrone will need to have a major mentality change in order to achieve success at the highest level.
"What's the lesson?"
Joe Brolly feels that teams need to change their mentality to a more attacking style but it will take time for a side like Tyrone to change.

We are now seeing the greatest county team to ever play the game in Dublin. You play with attack, you play with adventure. Every mistake from the opposition is a chance to score a goal or get a point, keep them on the back foot and grind them down.
Show trust in your team. It's going to take a while with this Tyrone team. I saw them last week labouring at times, I thought it was a dull and disappointing performance.
Canvan needs to play, McCurry needs to play, they need to have faith in these guys. These guys have been coming on, been brought off, isolated, blanket defence, and then taken off when they have no opportunities.
The whole dynamic of Tyrone football needs to change.
As is pointed out in the clip above, it will be very difficult to implement such changes this season. The short training window before the start of the season means it will be tough to alter a team's playing style, while they will also only have three league games before the start of the championship.
