Ah, Joe Brolly. Master of the dramatic statement, the theatrical gesture, the controversial analogy. And a central part of why it is so entertaining to watch football matches on RTE.
From his "uglier than Marty Morrissey" comments to his declaration that "you can forget about Sean Cavanagh as a man", Brolly is no stranger to placing Michael Lyster's heart firmly in his mouth as he is left with the responsibility of dealing with the Dungiven man's shenanigans.
OK, so this is fairly minor compared to a couple of the above declarations. But nevertheless, you wonder if he does these things out of badness, or out of some kind of subconscious mischievousness.
