In his latest column for Gaelic Life, Joe Brolly is enthusiastic in his praise for the attacking style of football which Tyrone have implemented in the Allianz League so far this year. He is also pleased with Donegal's return to form along with the football which Derry are playing right now.
An Ulster team that he is not complimentary of though is Cavan, who he describes as "The Black Death".
The one real anomaly in the League is The Black Death (is Cavan). They have continued to play the most horrible, defensive football the game has ever seen, oblivious to the trend towards attack based, non fouling football.
He goes on to call their goal line a "human wall" after which he issues a plea.
A warning: Please resist the temptation to go watch them play, as this will only encourage them. It may also lead to others catching the black death, which is fatal to all known forms of Gaelic football.
Also thrown in is a cut at UCC manager Billy Morgan, who he calls "typically graceless" due to a TV interview which he gave after UCC's victory of Jordanstown in the Sigerson cup.
You can read the full column in the March 6th issue of Gaelic Life (just 90p), worth it for Brolly alone.
