They may have missed out on Henry Shefflin but Sky have not done too badly when it comes to new signings for the punditry table. It has been announced that Shefflin's former Kilkenny teammate JJ Delaney will be taking up a post for the hurling championship while Jim McGuinness has signed on to deliver some of his football wisdom.
The initial reaction to the signings, McGuinness' in particular, have been very positive.
Jim McGuinness a game changer for Sky Sports, likely to be significantly better than anything RTE have to offer.

I'll be looking forward to the @SkySportsGAA coverage a bit more this summer now that Jim McGuinness is on board. Huge signing for them.

I know RTÉ got Henry Shefflin but @SkySportsGAA have got two brilliant recruits with Jim McGuinness for football and JJ Delaney for hurling.

Gary Neville's position as Sky Sports' top pundit under threat, as the great Jim McGuinness joins the team.

Delaney will join former Clare hurler Jamsie O'Connor in casting his eye over the action for the upcoming season while McGuinness will join Peter Canavan in the football hotseat.
