Tippearary's Jason Forde truly is in fine fettle these days. The UL forward was on fire this evening firing home 2-9 as Tipp overcame a spirited Wexford side. The Silvermines man showed good skill in the first half firing past Mark Fanning:

Gotta love that standing flag precision, beautiful.
His second goal was a well worked team move that did a lot to take the wind out of Wexford's sails:

Forde then capped a wonderful performance with one of the rare pleasures in hurling; a pointed sideline cut.

Hurling fans were waxing lyrical about the 24-year-old's performance who was the man who made the difference under the lights at Semple:
Is #JasonForde the best February Hurler of this century??

If Jason Forde keeps up this form, and Tipp go far in the championship, which they should, is he a dark horse for HOTY ???

After a slow start #Tipperary are hurling very well. Jason Forde in some form for Tipp and UL all winter.

Forde will surely have DCU worried as the University of Limerick take them on next weekend in the Fitzgibbon cup final. The forward has already scored 5-16 in the competition and his purple patch shows no signs of abating.
