Every time Jack McCaffrey takes to the field for Dublin, he looks like the best player on the pitch. In an era of attacking wing backs, he epitomises everything you want in that position. He is lightning quick, is an excellent carrier of the ball, defends with intensity, and can pop up with a score or two on the other end.
Today's All-Ireland final was a trademark McCaffrey performance. He was in stunning form, ending the game with a personal scoring tally of 1-3. He never stopped running, even at halftime.

While there plenty of other standout performers on the day, he has now been acknowledged for his performance.
Jack McCaffrey has been chosen as man-of-the-match in today's final, which was announced on the Sunday Game tonight. He beat out competition from the likes of Jack Barry and Sean O'Shea, who were also in contention for the award.
While he will have another big game in Croke Park in a couple of weeks, this caps off what has been a stunning year for the Clontarf man. He is the current favourite for footballer of the year, and this award tonight will certainly do his chances no harm.
