Given that it's county finals time of year, and what with all the hubbub about Dublin's possible trip away from HQ, we thought it was time to honour the county grounds. Those sacred places where the toilets look like they were made before the formation of the State and the bottles of Cadet cola were cheaper than water.
The humble county ground is beloved because of it's lack of airs and graces. Sure, we may give out about the lack of facilities from time to time, and the concrete on the terraces does seem to have special properties which ensure it's akin to standing on a block of ice barefoot, but we love them all the same.
Having said that, some are significantly better than others and you've been voting in your thousands for the best and worst of them. We can now reveal the final results.
As may have been expected, the Thurles cathedral that is Semple Stadium comes out on top while the slightly less storied surroundings of the Gaelic Grounds in Drogheda gets the wooden spoon at the bottom of the pile.
Here's the final standings.
