Four counties in total are represented on the GAA GPA All-Stars team for 2013 with Clare weighing in with eight players in total.
Davy Fitz's side expectantly makes up the bulk of the side while All-Ireland finalists Cork managed to fill three of the spaces. Dublin and Limerick, Leinster and Munster Champions respectively, are also represented - with three men coming from the capital and one from the Shannon siders.
There are a total of 12 first-time recipients of the coveted award. Anthony Nash, Brendan Bugler and Liam Rushe are the only previous winners in the selection.
One of the omissions from the team is that of Clare's Shane O’Donnell, who scored 3-3 for the Banner in the All-Ireland Final replay.
Fact: For the first time since 1996, there is no representative from Kilkenny which may show a shift in the future of hurling to come.
