Calling all intercounty GAA players, you're needed for a great cause.
A group of six Irish lads are embarking on a mission to travel around all 32 counties in Ireland with a football, a hurl and sliotar, and are aiming to – through the magic of video editing – kick and puck balls from one tourist attraction to another. It should make for a pretty great video, finishing in Croke Park, if everything goes to plan.
Carlow native Paul McElligott explains:
This Saturday morning, October 25th, our adventure will commence in Glendalough and the end date will decide for itself! We hope to record a video promoting a combination of both the most acclaimed tourist attractions and the less renowned hidden gems from around the entire country.
The aim of their trip is to raise funds for the Irish Cancer Society and the GAA's five official charities; The Peter McVerry Trust, Down Syndrome Ireland, Samaritans, Irish Autism Action and The Ciarán Carr Foundation.
If any stars would like to get involved you can give them a shout here and for anyone who wants to donate to any of the charities you can do so here, where you'll also find more information about the trip.
