Faythe Harriers and Ferns St Aidans advanced to the last eight of the Wexford senior hurling after winning their respective preliminary quarter final clashes.
The Harriers had far too much for Glynn Barntown in their meeting on Friday night, romping to a convincing 5-25 to 1-7 victory.
The pick of the goals came from former Wexford hurler Jim Berry after he was brilliantly found by Lee Chin.
Fresh off the back of his All-Star nomination that morning, Chin split the Glynn/Barntown defence in two with the most perfectly weighted pass, sending JJ Doyle's side on their way.

The second preliminary quarter final was a much tighter affair with Ferns St Aidans showing great character to recover from a late Oylegate Glenbrien goal to force extra-time.
2022 Champs Ferns got the better of their opponents in extra-time after a well-taken Eoin Murphy goal, having been set up by Corey Byrne Dunbar. Pat Bennett's side held on for a 1-24 to 1-21 victory over last year's beaten finalists.

Meanwhile in Clare, there was a shock of sorts as Gerry O'Connor's high flying Éire Óg Inis side were defeated by Inagh Kilnamona in the quarter final.

The dual double is still on for Cratloe as they edged Scarriff by 2-15 to 2-14 in the other quarter final. 2013 All-Star Conor McGrath was the difference for Cratloe, rolling back the years with a remarkable seven points from play.
In Cork, things went to script as favourites Blackrock and Midleton advanced to the semi-finals after wins over Kanturk and Newtownshandrum respectively.
County man Alan Connolly hit 1-6 (0-3 frees) for the Rockies who are chasing a first title since 2020.
The experienced duo of Conor Lehane and Luke O'Farrell did the business once again for Midleton, hitting 1-14 between them in their win over Newtown.
Clarinbridge had a convincing win over Ardrahan in the Galway preliminary quarter final while Gort were sent into the relegation final after a heavy loss to Oranmore-Maree.
