The All-Ireland hurling semi finals draw took place on Morning Ireland on Radio One this morning.
With Cork having already accounted for both Waterford and Tipperary in the Munster Championship, there was no way to avoid a repeat pairing in the Croke Park semi-finals, leading to the necessity of a draw. The semi-finals have already created history: it's the first time a county from Leinster have not featured in the last four in the history of the Championship.
As ever, the provincial champions were kept apart. Here are the pairings, per the hurling semi finals draw this morning:
Hurling Semi-Finals Draw
Galway v Tipperary
Cork v Waterford
Galway's clash with Tipperary is slated for Sunday, August 6th in Croke Park, while Cork's game with Waterford will take place the following week, on Sunday August 13th.
This year's All-Ireland final will take place on Sunday, September 3rd.
Both games throw in at 3.30pm.
