We're reaching the midpoint of the hurling round robins. While the class of Limerick is certain, there's still so much unknown - especially in Leinster - over the next three weeks. Waterford are big risers and Galway, not surprisingly, are big fallers from our last power rankings.
1. Limerick
Last time out, Limerick won by 15 points without breaking a sweat. The green machine is motoring along nicely. Peter Casey will be a significant loss, but they have replacements. They have the chance to end Cork's summer on Saturday evening.
2. Clare
For stages of the second half against Cork, Brian Lohan’s side looked like dramatic fallers in the power rankings, but turning around a 7-point deficit showed their class, especially without Tony Kelly and Darragh Lohan. Clare are currently enjoying a two week rest before Davy's visit to Ennis.
3. Kilkenny
You'd imagine Derek Lyng was happy man returning from Galway with a draw and without Adrian Mullen, Eoin Cody, and Eoin Murphy on the bus. Leinster looks like absolute chaos this year but
4. Waterford
Written off by most before the season, Waterford could conceivably have four points from two games had they held off Tipp's fight back on Saturday evening. Two tough away trips to come for Davy Fitz but the Déise have their mojo back.
5. Tipperary
Pride has been restored in the Premier County after an abhorrent display in Limerick two weeks back. While Liam Cahill's side looked like they needed a game plan against Limerick, they showed character to battle back for the draw on Saturday evening. Third place is still in play.
6. Cork
After a second loss in Munster, the Rebels season is more or less over. Limerick come to Supervalu Páirc ui Cháoimh Saturday evening and how Cork respond to their first two defeats will say a lot about whether Pat Ryan will be in charge next season
7. Wexford
Overturned in Corrigan Park one week, routing Galway the next: it's been a rollercoaster Leinster SHC for the Yellowbellies. Away trips to Carlow and Kilkenny are still to come. With Lee Chin in this form, Wexford seem to be in pole position for a Leinster final, but who can really say for sure?
8. Galway
A grim two weeks for Henry Shefflin. The draw against Kilkenny flattered Galway. The loss to Wexford feels like a major setback. With games against Antrim and Dublin to come, their place in a Leinster final is no longer the certainty it once felt like.
9. Dublin
Undefeated so far, can they put in a performance against the big two in Leinster? Saturday's game vs Antrim in Parnell Park will be fascinating
10. Antrim
As Wexford learned two weeks ago, Corrigan Park is the Galatasaray of the GAA world. Can they push for the top three?
11. Carlow
Another loss but a better performance against the Dubs, Carlow will need to beat Antrim and hope they don’t win another game.
