5,500 turned out at St. Conleth's Park in Newbridge on Tuesday for the sixth year of Hurling for Cancer Research.
The game, organised by racing trainer Jim Bolger and jockey Davy Russell, has raised €700,000 to date.
Last night's game, which was between Davy Russell's Best and Jim Bolger's Star, was a thriller. It featured 11 goals along with stars of the game past and present. There were also well-known names from other sports.
Davy Russell's team, managed by Brian Cody, beat Jim Bolger's side, managed by Davy Fitzgerald, 5-20 to 6-12.
