American television network CBS gave Americans a detailed insight into hurling last night as part of their series 60 minutes, billing it as "The greatest sport you've never heard of".

President Michael D Higgins was among those helping to endorse the game along with Donal Óg Cusack, Henry Shefflin and others.
Judging by the initial reaction it seems the sport has gone down fairly well.

The hurling segment on @60minSports is amazing - not paying players and putting millions back into the community? What a concept

I'm moving to Ireland and playing in a hurling league, it's official...YouTube it and you'll understand — Luke Moncman (@LukeMoncman) October 7, 2015
Great to see such a positive reaction to such a national treasure. It's only a matter of time now before the game is split into four quarters with ad breaks every two minutes.
