The former Kildare footballer and Coill Dubh hurler Seanie Johnston returns to the Cavan football squad for next season's championship.
Cavan manager Terry Hyland told the Sun that Johnston had joined the provisional panel for the 2016 season.
We have brought in eight of nine lads. Sean is one of those.
Seán has made himself available, we thought about and discussed it.
He had an operation on an ankle injury at the start of the year. That had been holding him back so it was only as the year went on that he was able to put those injury problems behind him.
Johnston transferred to Kildare for the start of the 2012 championship season, a move that required him to play in a club hurling match for Kildare side Coill Dubh.
