He's no fan of the mark, we found that out immediately after the motion for its introduction was passed at GAA congress last month.
Aidan O'Shea does have another idea which he believes could aid referees and improve gaelic football.
The Mayo midfielder thinks that the GAA should trial the use of two referees.
It's something which he has experienced playing international rules and viewed in the AFL.
We play with 30 players on a pitch - 28 outfield players - and we've one referee really on the pitch that makes the decisions. I think there could be a chance to have two referees. Maybe it's something the GAA have looked at. I know the AFL have two referees - it works well; it works well in the international rules games.
Maybe it's a pilot scheme that they could do in the FBD League or an early season competition.
If you've a player coming out defensively from our 45 and we're 70 or 80 yards away, the referee can't see what's going on if there's a tackle around the ball here and if there's something going on around the otherside.
If there's a referee in there and he's able to see what's going on in the forward line, he can make the call. It's just a fresh pair of eyes.
Episode two of The Toughest Trade featuring Aidan O'Shea and Roberto Wallace will air on RTÉ Two on Tuesday, March 15th at 9.55pm.
