Tyrone goalkeeper and often free taker Niall Morgan was black carded for a challenge on Down's Jerome Johnston in the second half of their Ulster Championship game.
As Johnston moved in on goal and attempted to round Morgan he was tripped by the Tyrone no. 1. Referee David Coldrick dished out the black card and awarded a penalty which was scored by Aidan Carr.
Somewhat controversially Down's Conor Maginn did not receive a black card in the first half when he dragged down Mattie Donnelly to concede a penalty.
