What's left to say after yesterday's enthralling bit of entertainment at Croke Park? While we may despair at controversy overtaking the quality of the play, there's no doubt that what Dublin and Mayo served up was highly entertaining stuff.
Red cards, black cards, penalties given and not given. It was GAA controversy bingo. And we now even have a diving question to answer. After Tiernan McCann's attempt against Monaghan, the gaelic football dive has reached a whole new audience so when there were question marks about an incident yesterday, you better believe it was jumped on.
Kevin McStay in particular picked up the issue of Philly McMahon's altercation with Aidan O'Shea in the 55th minute.
Not only did he feign injury, he took a dive. And followed it up pretty quickly with some pulling and dragging.
He may have been the one to bring it a wider audience on the Sunday Game but McStay certainly wasn't the only one holding that opinion.
If McCann was getting 8 weeks for a dive I wonder will Philly McMahon get the same? No he won't because he plays for Dublin

The amount of cynicism in that game was worse than any Tyrone game, will Philly McMahon get slaughtered for his dive like McCann?

Wonder will Dublin get same treatment as Tyrone did after that Philly McMahon dive? I doubt it. #DublinVMayo #SundayGame

Did Aidan O'Shea flick Philly McMahon‘s hair because he went down like Tiernan McCann #gaa #DUBvMAY #dive

McMahon certainly did his job of disrupting O'Shea yesterday. Something which can be summed up by his prevention of the Mayo man from getting near Connolly in this incident. However, was the reaction going too far?
Here's another angle if you need to make your mind up.
