A scintillating Corofin side swept to yesterday's All-Ireland club title with a performance adorned with pace and flair.
Chief among their galaxy of stars was Man of the Match Michael Lundy who, in the first half, kicked three points from play in about 90 seconds. The Galway champions looked uncertain at the outset but after this timely flurry of points they never looked back and motored on to victory.
However, Lundy annoyed people early in the second half when he went down clutching his head after his arm was tugged when he was powering through on goal. Slaughtneil full back Brendan Rogers went to slap the ball out of his hands, and Lundy dropped to the ground holding his head.
He was certainly fouled in the lead-up but his reaction to Rogers clawing at the ball afterwards has really got on people's tits.

The reaction from Twitter was rather hostile.

That Lundy lad from Corofin should be carded for that dive. Horrendous to see in Gaelic football — PQ (@PQuinn_) March 17, 2015
That was pathetic by Lundy. He should be ashamed for that kind of playacting, far from #TheToughest #corofin

Fair play Corofin but can condone Michael Lundy taking a dive to the ground and holding his face — Galway Club Hurler (@GalwayClubHurl) March 17, 2015
@GalwayClubHurl agreed, it's a pity because Lundy's a great player and he doesn't need to cheat!
