It was never going to match the original but, despite that, Kilkenny and Tipperary still put on a spectacle at Croke Park. The scores didn't go over with the same regularity as three weeks ago but the sheer amount of brilliant blocks that went in throughout the game was testament to an incredible performance from both defences.
Out of all those blocks perhaps the most notable was Tipperary's James Barry putting his body on the line by throwing himself in front of John Power with the game on a knife-edge.
