In the long list of GAA player endorsements, this may be the most ludicrous of them all.
Such is its absurdity, we aren't overly sure if it is true or a satirical parody of women in sport.
Ger Brennan has appeared on a website called theladyball.com endorsing their product, The Lady Ball, a pink gaelic football aimed at female gaelic footballers.
The manufacturers stated aim is to 'revolutionise the way women play sports', and the key to achieving this aim appears to be a football designed specifically for girls, with a "high gloss pink exterior" with "patented Eazi-Play technology" making it easier to use.
The product's description also features the immortal line, "It’s never been easier to kick straight while looking great!".
We haven't even reached the most preposterous part of this yet, Ger Brennan's 'endorsement':
This couldn't actually be true, could it? We've reached out to the Ladyball team for an interview but have yet to receive comment. The site theladyball.com is registered to a private user in Queensland. The site includes zero information on where to buy theLadyball though the site includes the disclaimer: "not yet in development – distribution and sale may be subject to demand".
Here is the company's promo video:

We can only hope this is a remarkable commitment to satire.
