"Is this the real Liam MacCarthy?" young Daniel Grogan asked David Burke on the Late Late Toy Show last night. The Galway captain replied that it was, ensuring that the young fan's Christmas was made when he got to lift it above his head just as Burke did three months ago.
It was not the only present Daniel received from the Galway players present on last night's Late Late Toy Show. Daniel also got a Galway season ticket for his family, a kit and signed a hurley and sliotar.
Best of all though, it is not the last meeting Daniel will have with the All-Ireland winners. He also gets to spend time at a training session in January and be their mascot for the first league game of the season against Antrim.
