The National League has been noticeable this season for a more becalmed Davy Fitzgerald, as he has taken a step back from the coal-face of coaching to assume more of a managerial role, with Donal Og Cusack notably more agitated on the sideline in the semi-final against Kilkenny. It appears, however, that talk of the demise of Davy Fitz' better, combustible nature has proved exaggerated.
