Cork's incredible domination of the All Ireland Senior Ladies Championship continued today after a stunning comeback over Dublin saw them claim their ninth title in ten years. Dublin held a ten point lead with just 20 minutes remaining after two goals from Lindsay Peat put Cork's hopes of a fourth consecutive in serious doubt.
However, goals from Rhona Ní Bhuachalla and Eimear Scally brought Cork right back into contention and late points from Ciara O’Sullivan and Geraldine O’Flynn saw Cork claim the Brendan Martin Cup with a score of 2-13 to 2-12.
Earlier in the day Wexford lifted the Junior crown with a 1-12 to 1-10 win over New York, while Down recorded a comprehensive 6-16 to 1-10 win over Fermanagh to lift the intermediate title.
