You know the way sometimes the floodlights don't work for a Gaelic football match so both teams decide to throw a rave in the dressing room instead? You know how that happens all the time?
Well it happened in Meath anyhow.
When Meath face Cavan in any walk of sport they usually end up knocking lumps out of each other but the minor teams of Skyrne and Southern Gaels decided to buck the trend last night in spectacular fashion.
They were due to play a challenge match against each other but as Lacken clubman (one of half of the Southern Gaels amalgamation along with Gowna) Shane Moynagh told us, things didn't go according to plan:
A few minutes into the challenge game the power went and the floodlights shut off! Both teams went back to the dressing rooms. While we were waiting about one of our players had a portable speaker and began playing songs which lead to us starting a few chants.
The Skryne lads heard us from across the hall and began chanting back before they came piling into our dressing room and joined in.
What followed was utter madness:
Where were the poor management teams in all this?
Thanks to Shane for sending us the videos.
